Prop firm rules
Simple rules, published before you pay.
Every target, loss limit and payout condition for 1-Step, 2-Step and Instant, in one place. No hidden rules, no time limits on the challenge.
Eight rules
Everything your account is checked against.
- Profit target
- The gain on your starting balance needed to pass a phase. Instant has none.
- Max daily loss
- The most equity may fall in one day, measured from that day's starting balance.
- Max overall loss
- A fixed floor below the starting balance on 1-Step and 2-Step. It never moves.
- Trailing loss (Instant)
- Follows your highest equity, intraday or at each day's close (EOD), until you are 5% up, then locks at the starting balance.
- Minimum trading days
- Days with at least one trade, required to pass a phase or to request a payout.
- Inactivity
- At least one trade every 30 calendar days keeps an account active.
- Payout cycle
- Bi-weekly (80% split) or monthly (90%), chosen when you're funded.
- Consistency (Instant)
- No single day may account for too much of a cycle's profit.

How the challenge works
On 2-Step you pass two phases, an 8% target then a 5% target, under a 5% daily and 10% overall loss limit, trading on at least 3 days in each phase. On 1-Step you pass one phase: a 10% target within a 3% daily and 6% overall loss limit, on at least 3 trading days. Neither has a time limit.
Passing makes you a funded trader and issues a certificate. Instant accounts start funded, with no challenge, under the conditions described below.
Loss limits
Max daily loss is measured from your balance at the start of each trading day. If your equity, including open positions, falls by more than the daily percentage at any moment, the limit is breached.
Max overall loss on 1-Step and 2-Step is a fixed floor below your starting balance (6% and 10% respectively). It does not move, so as your balance grows your buffer grows with it.
On Instant the maximum loss is a trailing 5%. It follows your highest equity until you are 5% up, then locks permanently at your starting balance.
Instant comes with a choice of how that floor trails, made at checkout:
- Intraday trailing follows the highest equity your account reaches at any moment, open profit included. A spike that you give back still raises the floor.
- End-of-day (EOD) trailing follows only your highest closing equity: balance plus open positions valued at the day's close. An intraday high given back before the close never raises the floor, which leaves more room to manage a trade. It costs more. The floor itself is still checked live, so falling through it during the day ends the account either way.
Example on ₹1,00,000: equity runs to ₹1,04,000 and closes the day at ₹1,01,000. With intraday trailing the floor is now ₹99,000; with EOD trailing it is ₹96,000. A dip to ₹98,500 the next day breaches intraday trailing, and stays within EOD trailing and the 3% daily limit (₹98,000 from that day's ₹1,01,000 start).
Breaching a limit ends that account. Nothing is owed: the most any account can cost you is its fee. The drawdown guide works through each limit with examples.
Keeping an account active
Every account must see at least one trade every 30 calendar days. We email you at 21 days and again at 27, and any single trade, entry or exit, resets the count. Logging in does not.
- An account holding an open position is never closed for inactivity.
- Closure for inactivity is not a breach. No rule was broken; the account is simply closed.
- If a funded account had an eligible, unrequested payout, you have 30 days after closure to request it under the usual conditions.
Payout cycles
Every funded account runs on a payout cycle. Choosing one is the first step when an account is funded; until you do, it cannot open new positions. The cycle sets two things:
- Bi-weekly: a payout window every 14 calendar days, with a 80% profit split.
- Monthly: a payout window every 30 calendar days, with a 90% profit split.
Windows run on calendar days, whether or not you trade every session. When a window opens you may request a payout from the dashboard. Every request needs at least 3 trading days inside the cycle, no rule breaches, and completed identity verification. The next cycle starts when the payout is paid.
Your cycle locks when you choose it and unlocks once a payout has been paid, when you may switch for the next cycle. Without the lock, everyone would sit on the shorter cycle and switch to the higher split just before requesting. See payouts for how payouts are calculated, reviewed and paid.
Instant funding conditions
Instant accounts skip the challenge, so every payout request also has to pass checks that a challenge would otherwise have covered:
- Consistency: no single day may be worth more than 25% of the cycle's profit on the bi-weekly cycle, or 15% on the monthly.
- Profitable days inside the cycle: 4 on bi-weekly, 7 on monthly, where a profitable day is a gain of 0.25% or more.
- Your largest losing day must not be larger than your largest winning day.
- The first 3% of profit is held as a safety buffer and cannot be requested as a payout.
Instruments & products
You can trade buying NSE index options, such as NIFTY and BANK NIFTY contracts. Option selling and non-index instruments are not available.
Both product types are supported: MIS for intraday positions closed before the market closes, and NRML for positions carried overnight within your limits. See MIS vs NRML.
Orders follow the exchange's own limits, as they would at a broker: NSE's per-order quantity freeze (for example 1,800 units of NIFTY or 600 of BANK NIFTY; split larger orders), prices in ₹0.05 steps, and NSE trading hours and holidays. When NSE is closed, so is the platform.
Trading charges
Every simulated order pays the charges an Indian discount broker applies to NSE index options. They are deducted from your account balance the moment the order fills, so your P&L, daily and overall loss limits, profit target and payouts are all measured after charges, as they would be on a real broker statement.
| Charge | Rate |
|---|---|
| Brokerage | ₹20 per executed order, and ₹20 on each contract held to expiry |
| Securities transaction tax (STT) | 0.15% of premium on sell orders; 0.15% of intrinsic value on options settled in the money at expiry |
| Exchange transaction charge | 0.03553% of premium (NSE) |
| SEBI turnover fee | ₹10 per crore of premium |
| Stamp duty | 0.003% of premium on buy orders |
| GST | 18% on brokerage, the exchange transaction charge and the SEBI fee |
| Auto square-off | ₹20 + GST for each intraday (MIS) position closed at the intraday cutoff |
For example, buying one lot of 75 at ₹100 pays about ₹26.98 in charges, and selling it at ₹120 about ₹40.89. An option held to expiry pays ₹20 brokerage plus GST, and STT on its intrinsic value if it settles in the money. The order ticket shows an estimate before you place each order, and your order history shows what each order paid.
Multiple accounts
You may hold several accounts across challenge types and sizes, up to a combined allocation limit per trader. Each account is assessed on its own. Accounts may not be used to hedge one another.
Prohibited practices
To keep the challenge a fair measure of skill, the following are not allowed and can lead to accounts being closed and payouts withheld:
- Exploiting delays, off-market prices or obvious pricing errors in the simulated feed.
- Trading around major scheduled events or expiry specifically to exploit simulated execution. A restricted window applies around such events on Instant accounts.
- Group or copy trading across accounts, account sharing, or taking opposite positions across accounts.
- Any strategy whose edge comes from the simulator rather than from the market.
● Your funded account is minutes away
Trade the market you know. Keep up to 90%.
Pick a challenge, pass it on your own schedule, and get paid to your UPI. The most it can ever cost you is the fee, and you get that back with your third payout.
